David now works full time with exploited & neglected young people in various CSE care homes in Yorkshire & Cumbria.  He is unable to work in the outdoors due to poor health.  Claire now runs her own business taking both bookings from adult groups & families, freelancing in local outdoor centres & working abroad in Oman during the Winter months.

Claire, & the staff that work with her, are all supportive in their instruction & coaching.

Claire, after successfully completing her degree in PE & Geography in York, started her working life as a youth worker in Bradford, before taking the role of an outdoor instructor & youth development tutor at the YMCA National Centre at Lakeside, on Windermere.  After three years there she went to Sheffield & did a PGCE.  Once that course had concluded she got married & started teaching in Levens Primary School & then at Natland.  She continued to teach for four years & then started having children.  After four children & ten years had passed she got back into teaching in primary schools in Langdale, Coniston, Sedbergh & Grayrigg.  Whilst teaching she would help David out with groups during the school holidays, but in 2018 she left teaching & started running her own business, as David changed his career path.

Claire runs her outdoor business from their home in Sedbergh.  Here, she & David live with their two dogs Jethro & Ira - both Border Collies.

Claire & all instructors that work with her are either qualified or endorsed in all the various activities that they instruct.
